When Jamie saw a beautiful homeless cat roaming her neighborhood, she knew she had to help. She left food out for the kitty, then noticed that the cat had returned the next day for food again.
It wasn’t long before these free meals became the norm and the two formed quite the trusting bond. One day, however, Jamie’s new animal friend brought her something that showed just how much she trusted her…
This stray cat showed up at Jamie’s yard looking for something to eat. After Jamie fed her, it wasn’t long before she saw her every day, and the two became the best of friends.

But when the cat showed up recently, Jamie saw that she wasn’t alone…

The stray had brought a tiny, orange kitten along with her…and she wanted Jamie to have him. Once Jamie looked closely, she could see why.

The kitten, whom Jamie named Milo, had an injured leg, and his mom knew that she’d found someone who could help.

A trip to the vet told Jamie that her newly adopted Milo was suffering from a broken fibula and tibia, and he would need a cast for at least three weeks.

Milo was quite the little trooper. He trusted Jamie to help him because his mom did, too.

Now, Milo is inseparable from his new owners.

His mom still stops by to check in from time to time, but prefers to do her own thing outdoors. “I think she’s just so used to being outside,” says Jamie.

“Milo was the best thing that’s happened to me in a long time,” said Jamie.
