He took out his cellphone and made a call. He was talking to someone and laughing about how relieved he was that his marriage was finally over. The woman felt like her heart was going to explode.

“Dear wife,” the letter began. She was so nervous that she could barely read. It took her a few minutes to calm down before she could continue reading his letter.

She knew she had to keep reading and find out what her husband had to say, so she forced herself to look at the letter once again. She took a deep breath and scanned through the rest of his message.

“The next time you try to trick me into proving my love, make sure your feet aren’t sticking out from under the bed.” The woman felt embarrassed. How could she not notice that her feet were visible the entire time she was hiding under the bed?
She Regretted It
She immediately regretted writing this letter full of lies to her husband. She didn’t know how she could look him in the eye after this silly prank. Would he forgive her?

She reached for her phone and dialed his number. He picked up the phone right away and proceeded to laugh at her. “Did you really think that I was going to fall for that?", he asked.

She and her husband still occasionally laugh at her silly prank to this day. Safe to say, she never had doubts about her marriage ever again. It’s been four years since she wrote that latter, and their marriage is stronger than ever.
