About a month ago, a helpless kitten was heard crying from a pile of wood in a dumpster. A man named Cliff heard the kitten and found him hanging on to some scraps of wood. The kitten’s cries were faint. Soon Cliff realized there was more than just one kitten in the dumpster. Cliff said the kittens were dumped in there and some wood had been thrown on top.
Once Cliff had found out where all the kittens were, he spent hours digging to get them all out.
One kitten didn’t survive. Here is where Cliff found the kittens.
After getting a tiny gray kitten out from the pile of wood, Cliff put the little one on his lap and dispensed out some much-needed love.
He put one kitten in his pocket to try and help keep it warm.
Finally, after several hours all the newborn kittens were finally out of the dumpster.
All the babies were very young and required care around the clock.
Cliff and his family needed help. After some searching, a rescue group, Watching Over Whiskers in Springfield, Missouri offered to help the poor kittens (and Cliff!).
The rescue group said that the kittens got milk all over themselves!
Happily, two of the smaller kittens have been adopted by Roxy, a rescued momma cat, she is giving them love and her milk.
All the kittens are doing well at their foster homes.
