There are lots of dogs out there that are living homeless in the streets, nowhere to feel safe, no one to love them, calling out for help each day. But only a few get answered, as only a few special humans answer their cries.
Alfie was in this situation, lonely, no name, no family, no food or water, chained and muzzled outside a home, left behind by his owners, with no place to sleep of attention.
Alfie needed love more than anything.
The barking from Alfie grew very loud and his condition worse, and people started to call the police, but didn’t get any answers.
Finally, they jumped into the house next door, took the chains off of Alfie and took him into their home.
And Alfie was saved. He got a name, a family, a home, and love.
He gave them all the love back in return and is just another member of the family.
Their home is his, and his home is theirs.
He’s an old dog, but he’ll give them happiness for years to come, and get happiness in return.
Now, Alfie loves to swim, play in the garden, play with his plentiful toys, and go out with his family to picnics.
He’s happy, and so is his family, who made just the right decision.
He hangs out on the beach and with other dogs, the picture perfect conclusion to what could have been a miserable time.
Alfie’s story would bring hope to many dogs who are in his old situation, but thankfully, this one had a happy ending.
