This man, a driver, heard noises coming from the garbage can, so he opened the can to see a trash bag shaking and making the sounds. He didn’t hesitate even for a moment and quickly opened the trash bag to see two little kittens crying for help.
The kittens were so tiny and so wet that they looked like hatched chicks instead. The driver immediately called in and Cathy’s mother asked her to look for help while the driver took the kittens to Cathy’s mom’s office. These kittens became part of Cathy’s family and they called them Buttercup and Westley.
They named them Buttercup and Westley. Cathy immediately took them to her West Knoxville vet because they were very weak. The vet, however, told Cathy that there was nothing more he could do and he was doubtful if they could survive.
Cathy fed them formula with a syringe and gave them round the clock love and care, hoping for a miracle, wishing that the kittens would survive. Her cat Gimli was also there with her to give the tiny kittens everything she could.
After a few though, one of the kitten’s eye started having an infection and this scared Cathy because she didn’t want to loose them so she put ointment on his eyes and days later the infection got cured. Her children, along with her cat and her German shepherd all together cared for these fur balls and what do you know! These kittens turned out to be beautiful ginger cats!
They learned to walk, despite the vet saying there was only little hope!
They became healthier, but their love for bottles, nope, never changed!
They love snuggles!
And lot of snuggles!
Molly the German shepherd also loves the kittens!
Petstogether on Cathy’s bed!
But there’s no place they’d be than in their person’s arms!
This is what they looked like when they first came…
But this is what they look like today!
