If you thought Grumpy Cat could give disapproving glares, then you’ve never met Albert the Selkirk Rex.
This curly kitty has a look that would make you freeze and want to apologize for whatever it is you’ve done in the past few hours.
Albert was originally a rejected show cat, and we like that just fine. He may not have shot his way into stardom if he’d been prancing around an arena ring for judges.
He’s been named after Albert Einstein for the color and look of his wild and crazy coat, but it’s really those eyes of his that have people intrigued.
He may look disapproving, but he serves a very important function for his owners.
He helps his owners, Mike and Susan, to run the Sagebrush Fine Art, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and what a face he provides to those who enter.
It can be a little off-putting at first, but people soon learn to warm up to him when they give him a good petting and he starts purring up a storm.
Ignore that glare he gives you; that’s really his happy face.
He does require a lot of grooming in order to maintain that thick coat of his, but he doesn’t mind the attention.
We could all use a cat like this around the office, who does nothing but stare us down when we’re goofing off at work.
It may serve as motivation to up our productivity and get more done in the day.
Share away, people!
